ADHD Throughout the Lifespan: A Psychiatric Perspective

Please join us for this CE covering the often-requested topic of ADHD throughout the lifespan. This presentation will discuss the growing research and clinical knowledge of various potential etiologies for ADHD. Commonly co-occurring health conditions will be reviewed. Dr. Nick Ladd will discuss the range of psychopharmacological interventions that may be considered for treatment of ADHD and how the choice of interventions may be related to possible etiology. This CE program also offers the opportunity for obtaining best-practice suggestions for coordination of care from a leading psychiatrist who is a strong advocate for supporting families, educating the next generation of providers (and the current one!) and for improving care systems.

Dr. Nick Ladd is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who is the current and founding director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at MAHEC. He is a Western NC native who is excited about helping to support children and families across our region struggling with mental illness through direct patient care, advocating for systems changes, and educating the next generation of mental health clinicians.
