"What’ll you have?”: Defining and identifying professional and personal self-care activities to fill up our “cups,” promote well-being, and prevent burnout for Psychologists

  • 20 Mar 2024
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM (EDT)
  • Virtual

Registration is closed

Practicing regular self-care for psychologists is not only aspirational, but an ethical principle mandated by the APA; however, on its face, “self-care” can be a vague recommendation with little guidance for how to put it into practice. For this free CE event for WNCPA members, Dr. Rebecca Daniel will offer a definition of “self-care” and identify unique challenges that psychologists face throughout their career, which if left unmanaged, can lead to burnout. Participants will also identify their own unique signs of burnout and will be offered recommendations for supporting colleagues who may be suffering from burnout. Finally, participants will engage in an experiential exercise to help identify their values-based self-care needs to put into action.
